Overview

Nestled quietly in a residential corner of Melaka’s Taman Merak Mas, Cindy Garden offers a dining experience that blends home-style comfort with a touch of nature. This humble restaurant occupies a quaint garden space just off Jalan Merak Mas 13, where limited seating—three to five tables—ensures an intimate and relaxed atmosphere. The charm of Cindy Garden lies not only in its tucked-away location but also in the thoughtful hand-prepared dishes and the warmth of its owner, Cindy, who often engages personally with her guests.

The menu centers on familiar yet well-executed Malaysian staples, with highlights such as curry noodles, dry mee, and nasi lemak accompanied by authentic prawn and squid sambal, reflecting local flavors. Noteworthy sets include the pork pongteh rice and ayam chili garam, offering robust profiles of savory and spicy notes. Customers have especially praised Cindy’s handmade noodles, which stand out with their unique texture and distinct appeal compared to typical options found elsewhere. Refreshments like ice green tea and honey lemon juice complement the hearty meals with their refreshing touch.

Speaking to the culinary style, Cindy Garden leans towards a home-cooked grace rather than overt boldness, which resonates well with neighborhood patrons, particularly elders seeking a mild yet satisfying palate. This approach occasionally leads to a softer flavor profile, with exceptions like the curry chicken, which many find to be the standout dish. The culinary experience benefits from Cindy’s hands-on preparation, creating an authentic, comforting taste that feels personal and genuine.

Beyond the food, the setting is an appealing draw. The garden, carefully tended and inviting, acts as a natural sanctuary amid urban bustle—offering diners a refreshing spot to unwind and enjoy their meal in a peaceful environment. The cozy size fosters a close-knit vibe, perfect for small groups or solo visits where one might even pick up gardening tips along the way.

Overall, Cindy Garden serves as a hidden gem for those seeking more than just a meal—it's a small local haven where simplicity, quality, and hospitality meet. It particularly suits visitors who appreciate authentic Malaysian fare in an unpretentious, calming space away from the city's typical noise. Whether you’re after a comforting bowl of tom yum or a fulfilling pork rice set, Cindy Garden promises a modest yet memorable culinary retreat in Melaka.

It was an interesting experience. Located at the corner of a residential area, the place is charming with its nicely decorated garden. The cleanliness is commendable. Although they only have two tables, they offer a variety of food, including chicken rice sets, pork rice sets, and noodles. The food has a pleasant, home-style taste, and the prices are reasonable.

Cindy Garden is a total hidden gem! It feels like a secret spot, but the food is absolutely amazing. They have so many choices on the menu, and everything I tried was delicious. Best of all, the prices are very affordable and the portions are generous with a great amount of protein. Highly recommend!

Cosy cosy little hangout spot Glorious paradise of tiny nursery. The vibe is on, food is on point and localised, friendly for neighbourhood chillax that caters up to 4-5 tables. Swing by for a lil photosynthesis refresh!

First time here. Cindy is the friendly boss and prepares the food hands on for us. The Vietnamese chicken is good n just spicy enough for me. Wife tried Cindy's hand made noodles n I tried some myself. Noodle tastes very good n markedly different from the ordinary types available in the market. My daughters tried the sambal pork n chilly garam chicken. Both are equally good. If you are reading this, I recommend that you check this out for yourself. If you are lucky like us, Cindy might even share some planting tips with you. As seating capacity is limited, advise you go in small group. You may even bump into me as I am sure going to be coming again.

Interesting venue, dining in the garden space of Cindy's home. Seated limited, 3 tables available. Garden is nice, comfortable and cooling. Food wise overall taste quite bland. I think that's because the main customers are surrounding neighbourhood folks who are elderly. Curry chicken is the "tastiest" among all. Would I come again? Yeap! Although food is meeeh, but it taste home cooked. And enivornment is relaxing.

A cosy place for a homely meal. Amidst nature. Decorated within the house premises. It's quite hidden from a general view. Good and freshly cooked meal by Cindy herself. Had a good variety. Options for vegetarians are available as well. The food taste was excellent and felt like eating in a house environment. Sitting was comfortable for a family of four. The food arrived pretty fast. The surroundings may have been considered sultry as it's open but shaded. Payment can be made by cash or QR mode. Personally, I like the place and would recommend others to give it a try. Restrictions might be applicable to certain ethnic groups as pork is served here.

All good. Cindy is friendly and obliging. Came on Sunday, so got nasi lemak berempah. My daughter loves the ayam garing. Taste good. Mee curry was good too, just bit thick on the gravy. All in all, recommended for anyone who want try something homemade. Just bit of advise to Cindy's waitress to be more well mannered when taking orders like the boss.
